Easy Khaman Dhokla Recipe (Soft & Spongy) | Khaman Recipe | Gram Flour Dhokla
Ingredients
- 2 cups Gram Flour
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
- 2 cups Water
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Citric Acid
- 4 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Ginger & green chili Paste
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Baking soda
Instructions
- To make perfect Khaman Dhokla, first take a bowl and place a strainer on It.
- Now into the strainer, add 2 cups of Gram flour, and sieve it well into the bowl.
- Now, into a bowl, add two pinches of turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, and mix well.
- Now, take another bowl and add 2 cups of water.
- Now into the water, add 2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of citric acid( In Place of citric acid, you can use 1 tbsp of lemon juice or 1 tbsp of vinegar), 4 tbsp of sugar, and mix everything well.
- Now, little by little, add water into gram as required flour, mix well, and prepare a pourable consistency batter.
- Now into the batter, add 2 tbsp of oil and mix well.
- Now cover the batter and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Now take cake-tin or bowl and grease it with oil.
- Now, place a pan on flame, put a stand into it, add 2 cups of water, and boil well.
- After 10 minutes, check the batter and mix well again.
- Now add 1 tsp of baking soda and mix well in one direction until it turns fluffy and light colour.
- Now pour the batter into cake-tin and make sure you leave little space in the tin.
- Now place the cake-tin into the pan on the stand.
- Now, close the lid and cook for 15- to 20 minutes, and check it in between.
- After 15 minutes, turn off the flame and leave it without removing the lid for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, check the dhokla and take it out on a plate.
- Now for Tadka, place a pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- Now add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, two pinch asafoetida, four slits of green chili, some curry leaves, and fry a little on low flame.
- Now add water as required, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, one pinch of turmeric powder, and mix well and boil.
- Now turn off the flame and let it be a little cool.
- Now, cut the dhokla into small pieces as you want.
- Now pour prepared tadka on the dhokla.
- Now your Perfect Khaman Dhokla is Completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
